In a group where members’ opinions and knowledge of torture points varied greatly, the legitimacy of discussion happening ranged from unjustified private assaults and title–calling to nicely–structured arguments complete with concessions and well–supported facts. Overall, posts tended to display a popular type of argument.
Using a combined qualitative methods strategy, this article takes a better have a look at 26 young Swedes’ experiences and understandings of social media, particularly Twitter and Facebook, as used for political discussions. Compared to the common Swedish 17 to 18-12 months-olds, the individuals are relatively thinking about civic and political questions.
