A Political Sciences Master’s programme will allow you to higher understand how governments function and interact, the influence of presidency policies on economic stability and development, and how legal guidelines affect social and political change. Politics influences each facet of our lives and contributes to the wellbeing of a nation, including training, employment, healthcare, and housing. Our division is house to about 350 undergraduate students majoring in political science and/or public administration and about ninety minors. In addition to the bachelor’s degrees in political science and public administration, we offer a grasp’s diploma in public administration and, beginning Fall 2020, a grasp’s degree in public policy. Our faculty also participates in the International Studies M.A.

We look at the best way in which race is politicised and de-politicised, and consider the nature of varied types of racism that exist in politics. The goal of the module is twofold. The first goal is to introduce you to broad themes in growth politics and policy such as colonialism, primary commodity dependence, neoliberalism, austerity programmes (structural adjustment programmes), poverty discount policies, the developmental state, migration, remittances, aid, NGOs and social actions. The second aim is to apply these themes to key case-studies in Latin America.
