We are committed to providing our undergraduate and graduate college students with a rigorous schooling that emphasizes important thinking and the attainment of a ability set that may serve them of their future careers. The mission of the Department of Political Science, at Rice University’s School of Social Sciences, is to contribute to the university and discipline by way of excellence in analysis, graduate training and undergraduate educating. We prepare graduate students in fashionable methods of social science analysis in three substantive areas of political science—American Politics, Comparative Politics, and International Relations—to prepare them for profitable careers in tutorial analysis.
